Ronaldo, Georgina exchange vows in living room of £30m mansion as details of intimate wedding emerge

Fresh details have emerged about Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez’s intimate wedding ceremony, with the couple revealing that they exchanged their vows in the living room of their £30 million mansion in Cascais, Portugal.

The 41-year-old football star and his 32-year-old longtime partner recently tied the knot in a private ceremony attended by only four witnesses, after Ronaldo proposed to Georgina with a reported £3 million ring last year.

Vogue Magazine has now released photographs from the ceremony, giving the public a glimpse into the private occasion.

Speaking about the wedding, Georgina said the ceremony was exactly what she had imagined and admitted that she struggled to hold back her tears.

“It was exactly as I’d imagined it,” she said.

The couple chose to keep the ceremony small and intimate, with Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, and his siblings, Hugo, Elma and Katia, reportedly absent from the occasion.

According to reports, Ronaldo’s family only found out about the wedding shortly before the ceremony.

Georgina explained that although she once dreamed of having a lavish royal-style wedding, her priorities changed as she grew older.

“When I was a little girl, I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying, ‘No. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home,’” she said.

She added that the couple already had access to luxury homes, cars, islands and other material possessions, making a private family celebration more meaningful to her.

“Because castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: we have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate – that’s more unusual for us,” she explained.

Georgina also revealed that the couple may hold a much bigger celebration in the future so that their extended family and friends can join them.

“In the future we will have a big wedding so we can celebrate with family and friends,” she said.

Ronaldo, meanwhile, said marriage represents a new stage in their relationship, describing the experience as entering “a different league.”

The footballer also suggested that he may be approaching the final stage of his playing career, saying his future plans are increasingly centred around spending more time with his family.

The couple also discussed the possibility of having another child in the future, although Georgina joked that adding another baby immediately would make their already busy household even more hectic.

“Another baby now would be overbooking at home. But when the youngest are 15 or 16, we’ll still be young, so why not?” she said.

Ronaldo responded that he was not ruling out the possibility, saying, “I never say never,” while expressing his desire to leave a lasting legacy.

Following their wedding, the newlyweds made their first public appearance with their children on Saturday night when they attended the Saudi Pro League match between Al-Nassr and Al-Fateh at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh.
